In this blog, we will discuss all the benefits of Chiropractic BioPhysics. I first came to SCP Chiropractic by pure luck, at a time when my health was at its lowest. I was struggling with parasites, and the joint pain, headaches, low back discomfort, and stomach pain were brutal.
Dr. Josh and Dr. Jenna met me with compassion, support, and expertise, and their care helped me rebuild my body when I felt like I had no strength left. Lori, their Chiropractic Assistant, provided laughter and fun.
Over the years as a patient, and later while working as a chiropractic assistant for three years, I gained a deep appreciation for how spinal alignment impacts not just pain levels but the function of the entire body and mind.
SCP is led by Dr. Josh and Dr. Jenna, a husband-and-wife team passionate about blending state-of-the-art corrective care with a holistic, patient-centered philosophy. Both docs are certified as Advanced in Chiropractic BioPhysics.
What Is Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP)?
Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®) is one of the most researched and effective corrective chiropractic techniques. Unlike traditional chiropractic care that often focuses on quick adjustments for temporary relief, CBP emphasizes long-term correction of spinal alignment, posture, and balance in three dimensions.
Key components of CBP care include:
Detailed postural and biomechanical analysis
X-ray templates and measurements to track deviations and monitor progress
Customized corrective adjustments, traction, and mirror-image exercises
Re-exams and re-imaging to objectively measure improvements over time
The goal: to restore structural balance so that the spine and nervous system can function at their best, creating a foundation for better health, fewer injuries, and greater resilience.

Why the Ferguson X-Ray Matters
One of the most powerful tools used at SCP Chiropractic is the Ferguson (or Sacral Base) X-ray view. This specialized image shows whether a person’s pain is caused by a short leg or a tilted pelvis. These are issues that often go undetected in standard exams.
I’ve seen firsthand how many sports injuries and chronic pain cases can be traced back to this hidden imbalance. Left unaddressed, it can place uneven stress on the knees, hips, and low back leading some people toward hip or knee replacements, or an unnecessary back surgery.
The good news? Sometimes the solution is as simple as a heel lift or an ischial lift (which is just a fancy term for a “butt pad” — yes, you can laugh about it). For children, early detection is key. Once someone is fully grown, a short leg or tilted pelvis becomes permanent. But kids who start early and commit to wearing their lift consistently may actually correct the imbalance before reaching adulthood.

Tools Beyond the Office: Cold Laser & Home Care
SCP Chiropractic also introduced me to Erchonia cold laser therapy, which is used to support tissue repair, decrease inflammation, and speed healing. This therapy can be especially helpful for chronic pain and injuries, and it’s a great complement to CBP care. It is such a bonus that I am able to offer my clients cold laser therapy who work with me in person.
Another strength of CBP is that patients don’t have to rely solely on in-office visits. Many corrective tools are available to use at home once a care plan is established. With ScoliCare products, patients can continue working on cervical, thoracic, and lumbar issues from the comfort of home, making care accessible even for those who drive in from further away.
Why SCP Chiropractic Stands Out -Beyond Chiropractic BioPhysics
Holistic and corrective approach – Their focus isn’t just pain relief, but long-term correction and improved function.
Welcoming environment – The open floor plan encourages conversation and laughter, and many patients even become friends along the way. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of energy.
Personalized expertise – Dr. Jenna is known for her exceptional soft tissue work, especially in helping relieve migraines, while Dr. Josh brings precision to each adjustment. Together, they provide a well-rounded approach to care.
Compassion and connection – Having been both a patient and part of the team, I can say their dedication, empathy, and commitment to education set them apart.
SCP Chiropractic is more than a chiropractic biophysics office, it’s a place where patients feel cared for, supported, and empowered to take control of their health. With Chiropractic BioPhysics, advanced tools like the Ferguson X-ray and cold laser therapy, and a joyful, community-focused atmosphere, Dr. Josh and Dr. Jenna are helping people transform their health from the inside out.
